The Kingdom Of God

Every Christian that has entered the kingdom of God has a belief that is based on their faith in God. Not only do they believe that God exists, they talk to him, praise him and trust in him. They serve a God that they consider a supreme authority in their lives.

Jesus said, "The kingdom of God does not come with your careful observation, nor will people say, 'Here it is,' or 'There it is,' because the kingdom of God is within you." Luke 17:20-21. Man can not see the kingdom of God because his eyes were designed to see physical things on earth. The kingdom of God is a spiritual kingdom that resides within the heart of man.

A king usually rules a kingdom and Jesus Christ is the King of kings. A king makes many decisions that affect the lives of other people. In your life you are that king even when you have accepted Jesus as your Savior and Lord of your life. In reality, because Jesus Christ lives in you, that makes it feasible to rule the kingdom of God from your heart.

For any king to have a kingdom he must be the supreme authority and have an area of influence to rule. When you give your life to God and accept Jesus as Lord, you give God your life and your kingdom to rule. By giving your life to God you made a deliberate choice to yield your authority to God. When you yield your authority to God you give him an area of influence to rule.

You are the king of your life, but a king makes decisions that affect the lives of other people. Decisions are made in your spirit and carried out by your body. God is a spiritual being that deals with your spirit, where you make decisions. When you yield your choices to the decisions God makes, you let the world see the kingdom of God at work in you.
