Should God then reward you on your terms, when you refuse to repent? You must decide, not I. Job 34:33
We find that almost everyone on earth believes in a supreme being that created the heavens and the earth. Has the person created in his image ever sought the reason why God created everything perceive through our senses. Surely God did not create the heavens for the fun of it or just to see if he could. We have a limited thought process but we still can reason why men grows food, builds houses and cars, and send our children to school so they may have a better life. Ultimately as men we purposely create things to satisfy our wellbeing and the needs of our fellow man.
There is no question that God created mankind so he could be recognized and adored. At the same time God created the heavens and the earth to serve his needs in the ages to come. God also knows that if his creation was to serve him of their free will he must serve the needs of the person willing to serve his objectives.
Let’s understand that when men create things that don’t work as designed and cannot be salvaged we discard them. God designed men and women with a mind to govern their lives with the choice to love one another. Instead man chose to govern his own life by openly rebelling against God’s authority and not be overly concerned about his fellow man.
Let’s remember that those who have authority over your life know how to establish their authority over you. God designed mankind to function under his moral guidelines and has warned mankind of the consequences for not living by them. In the same way how do you reward your children when they disobey you? Will God reward you when you refuse to repent and ignore his instructions? God has given you time to repent and warns all men that he will compensate everyone according to the way they live. It is written that,
Those who have done good will rise to live, and those who have done evil will rise to be condemned. John 5:29
Within God’s creation, the destination of Heaven and Hell has been embedded into the minds of every one born on earth. Hands down, the majority of the world has the hope of going to heaven and would choose to go to heaven without giving it a second thought. However the majority of men do not know that everyone born on earth has a God given right to choose life in Heaven over death in Hell. The bible says.
For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life. John 3:16
The belief that Jesus Christ is the Son of God is found throughout the world however belief in Jesus is not the answer to eternal life. One can believe Jesus Christ as the way truth and life but not obey his commands.
Why do you call me, 'Lord, Lord,' and do not do what I say? Luke 6:46
John 3:16 calls for action saying “whoever believes in him shall not perish” but it demands an action called faith. Faith demands that you place your trust in the name of Jesus Christ in everything you do.
And without faith it is impossible to please God, because anyone who comes to him must believe that he exists and that he rewards those who earnestly seek him. Hebrews 11:6
Strange that it may be, everyone knows that God exists but never really seeks his face until they are desperate. The bible tells us that you reap what you sow but the question is will God acknowledge your request when you refuse to acknowledge him and refuse to repent? We have God’s word about what will happen in the near future especially about the destruction of those who cause and practice evil. In the meantime the world has the opportunity to find out what pleases the Lord and repent from evil.
My people are destroyed from lack of knowledge. "Because you have rejected knowledge, I also reject you as my priests; because you have ignored the law of your God, I also will ignore your children. Hosea 4:6
For the most part the world is ignorant of God’s plan of Salvation but with the knowledge to know how God expects man to function he can escape the wrath of God. While it may be difficult to fathom the love of God he sent his son to demonstrate his love for mankind – despite the fact we were still sinners when Christ died for us Romans 5:8.
The fact we were still sinners in God’s eyes when Christ died for us says one thing, you and I have sinned and fallen short of the glory of God, Romans 3:23. The bible says.
Christ was sacrificed once to take away the sins of many people; and he will appear a second time, not to bear sin, but to bring salvation to those who are waiting for him. Hebrews 9:28
Before Christ died on the cross he bore our sins so we might turn from sin and live for him.
Yet to all who received him, to those who believed in his name, he gave the right to become children of God—children born not of natural descent, nor of human decision or a husband's will, but born of God. John 1:12-13
Understanding the verse above is better stated as to those who believed in his name and received him he gave the right to become children of God. Receiving Jesus Christ according to God’s terms demands that you ask Jesus into your life as Lord.
That if you confess with your mouth, "Jesus is Lord," and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For it is with your heart that you believe and are justified, and it is with your mouth that you confess and are saved Romans 10:9-10
Confessing that Jesus is Lord is an eternal commitment and it declares that Jesus will be lord in the ages to come. Your citizenship changes with your residence established in Heaven. Jesus said unless you repent, you too will all perish Luke 13:5. Repenting is having a change of heart, that is to accept God’s ways as your own before you can go to heaven but it is a decision you must be willing to make.
Should God then reward you on your terms, when you refuse to repent? You must decide, not I; so tell me what you know. Job 34:33
