Pray For Our President

There are a number of reasons why we as Americans should pray for President of the United States. The President of the United States speaks for all Americans in regard to our foreign relations with other nations. What he says affects the lives of every American, the bills passed by congress and is signed by him becomes the law that affects the lives of every American, what he does while in office become the history of our nation. As the leader of America he has the capability to shape a great nation among other nations or to be scorned by those nations. President Obama is another person that Christians have the responsibility to God to love and honor and the least we can do as Christians is to pray for his well being and the decisions he makes. Below is a suggested prayer model.

Heavenly Father,

You have ordained Barack Obama as President of the United States of America. Above all, we pray that Barack Obama and his family would develop a personal relationship with you. We humbly ask that you endow our president elect with the Wisdom of Solomon so he may govern our nation in a upright manner before You and the people of this great nation. Let your wisdom shape his decisions and may his commands be those You would approve of. Work with President Obama to develop and execute plans that will place our nation on the right path, put Americans back to work, develop confidence in our economy and become a leader of the free world. - In Jesus name.
